The University District Community Clean-up is a partnership with the University Heights Community Center, the City of Seattle, the U District BIA, the University of Washington and local residents and groups.  Every year on the second Saturday of May, the community comes together to clean the neighborhood by removing trash, painting out graffiti, sprucing up planting beds and more.  Contests with prizes, food and T-shirts for the volunteers add to the energy of this event.  Lead coordination  is provided by University Heights Community Center.
